AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR RIGHT-
OF-WAY MAINTENANCE FOR THE CITY OF DUBLIN,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on February 27, 2001 for Right-of--Way
Maintenance for the City of Dublin, an approved 2001 expenditure, Council has determined
that the base bid submitted by Greenscapes Landscape Company in the amount of
$78,753.00 is the lowest and best bid for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the base bid submitted by Greenscapes Landscape Company in the amount
of $78,753.00 for Right-of--Way Maintenance is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the project
as listed above, and as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file
in the Division of Grounds and Facilities.
Section 3. That this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health, safety or welfare. This ordinance shall therefore be effective upon passage.

Oza Tuesday, February 27, 2001 bids were opened for the City of Dublin, Right-of-Wuy Maintenance that
will provide the maintenance of various areas ofright-of--way including Emerald Parkway 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and
6, Frantz Road, Muirfield Drive, State Route 161, Woez~zer~Temple and Wilcox Road eul-de-sacs. The
funds for this maintenance are included in the 2001 Operating Budget. These bids vs~ere received with the
results as follows:
1). Environmental Management, Inc. $123,957.00
2). W. A. Q., Tnc. -Southwest Lawn $104 059.98
3). Greenscapes Landscape Co. $ 78753.00
Staff is recozxunending acceptance of Grcenscapes Landscapes Co.'s base bid of $?8,7~3.00. Greenscapes
has previously done work for the City of Dublin, including rrzavntenancc, and their work has been
satisfactory.
