An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The
Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2001
WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental
appropriations to be made to an appropriations measure provided sufficient
resources are available; and
WHEREAS, the Ohio Revised Code requires, when necessary, amendments to
the annual appropriations measure to be made in order that appropriations are not
over expended; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to
provide funding in certain budget accounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE T ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Parkland Acquisition Fund the amount of $3,100,000 to account 402-0210-780-
2510 for the purpose of acquiring land to expand Coffman Park.
Section 2. There be advanced from the General Fund the amount of $82,500
to the Rings Road TIF Fund for the Rings Road improvements project. This
advance is to be reimbursed to the General Fund from future service payments.
Section 3. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Rings Road TIF Fund the amount of $210,016.34 to account 426-0314-780-2550
for the purpose of making final payment on the construction contract for the
Rings Road improvements project.
Section 4. The public hearing be waived to provide immediate funding for the
projects.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with
Section 4.04 (a) of the Dublin City Charter.

As noted in Ordinance No. OS-O1, the requests for additional appropriations relate to two capital
Improvement projects.
Section 1 appropriates the proceeds from the bonds issued for the acquisition of land to expand
Coffman Park. This land will also be the site for the future City Hall. Ordinance No. 131-00,
adopted November 6, 2000 authorized the acquisition of the property. The real estate closing is
scheduled for January 11, 2001.
Sections 2 and 3 provide the funding and the spending authority to make final payment for the Rings
Road improvements construction contract. The amount of the final payment had been disputed and
agreement was reached in late December.
We are asking that the public hearing be waived in order to close on the property and make the final
construction contract payment in accordance with the applicable agreements.
