Albright, 600 South High Street, Columbus, OH 43215, Agent for Petitioners Dorothy Thomas, 5494 Cara Court, Dublin, OH 43016; National City Bank, Columbus, Trustee of the William Marvin Thomas Trust, 155 E. Jude, McCoy & Jude Tree Service, 5571 Cosgray Road, Dublin, OH 43016; and WHEREAS, a public hearing has been scheduled before the Franklin County Commissioners on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at 10:00 a.m.; and WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that, prior to the hearing of the annexation petition, the Municipal Authority shall adopt a statement indicating what services, if any, the Municipal Corporation will provide to the territory proposed for annexation; and WHEREAS, the area proposed for annexation lies within Dublin's exclusive water and sewer service extension area, as provided under the agreements with the City of Columbus; and WHEREAS, the proposed annexation is in conformance with the annexation strategy contained in the Dublin Community Plan, adopted by Council on November 17, 1997. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, _ of the members concurring that: Section 1. The City of Dublin will provide the following municipal services for the 28.4+/- acres in Washington Township, Franklin County upon the annexation of the area to the City of Dublin, Ohio: Police. The City provides Police and Communications service on a full twenty- four hour basis and also has mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. The annexation area lies approximately four miles southwest of Dublin Police Division headquarters. Dublin operates with a minimum of four cruisers on duty. A response time of approximately four minutes for an emergency situation should be expected for this area. Fire. Fire and emergency medical services protection is currently provided by a well-staffed department in Washington Township. They, too, have mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. This annexation would not change fire department jurisdictional boundaries, and therefore response times for fire and emergency medical services will not be affected. Washington Township Station 91 is located approximately 2-1/2 miles northeast of the annexation area, and normal response time would be approximately three minutes. Sanitation. Residential refuse collection services are contracted by the City and are currently provided at no additional charge Street Maintenance. The City has a Streets and Utilities Division which provides excellent service in the area of street and road maintenance.
