AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR
THE COSGRAY PARK PHASE III PROJECT, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Cosgray Park
Phase III project on Wednesday, May 27, 1998, Council has determined
that the base bid submitted by Paul Vlack Company, Inc. in the amount of
$254,760.00 is the lowest and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE BE I~ ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, _~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the base bid for the Cosgray Park Phase III project, in the
amount of $254,760.00 submitted by Paul Vlack Company, Inc. is hereby
accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Paul Vlack Company, Inc. pursuant to the bid specifications
and documents on file in the office of Grounds and Facilities.
Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health,
safety or welfare, and for the further reason to meet the timeframes of the
bid. Therefore, this ordinance shall be effective upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04 (a) (6) of the Revised Charter.

Memo
On Wednesday, May 27, 1998 bids were opened on Cosgray Road Park Phase III, an approved CIP, at 2:00
p.m.
The publicly announced base bid was estimated at $275,000.00. One bid was received.
1). Paul Vlack Company, Inc. at $254,760.00
This project consists of the construction of restrooms for the north end of the park along with associated site
work. Paul Vlack Company, Inc. is currently working on the Coffinan Shelterhouse Project and we find
their work most satisfactory.
Staff is recommending acceptance of Paul Vlack Company, Inc.'s base bid.
