AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST/
BEST BID FOR THE 1998 STREET MAINTENANCE
PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF DUBLIN, OHIO AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising, receiving and opening bids on May 13, 1998 for the
1998 Street Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the lowest and best bid for said project is
from the Shelly Company, in the amount of $804,680.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to execute this contract as soon as
possible so that construction can take place during favorable weather conditions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, ~ Of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid from the Shelly Company, in the amount of $804,680.00 be, and
hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
contract with the Shelly Company for completion of said project pursuant to the bid
specifications and documents on file in the office of the City Engineer.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an emergency
measure for the preservation of the public peace, health or welfare of the residents of
this City, and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon its passage.
