AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
FOR THE COSGRAY ROAD PARK (DARREE FIELDS) PHASE IV
PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Cosgray Road Park (Darree
Fields) Phase IV Project on Tuesday, September 29, 1998, Council has determined that the
base bid of $49,713.00 submitted by First Choice Construction is the lowest and best bid;
and
WHEREAS, the project is included in the approved CIP.
NOW, HEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the base bid in the amount of $49,713.00 submitted by First Choice
Construction is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with First
Choice Construction for completion of the project, pursuant to the bid specifications and
documents on file in the office of the Grounds & Facilities division.
Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further
reason that the time frames for completion of the project require emergency action.
Therefore, the ordinance shall be effective upon passage in accordance with Section 4.05 of
the Revised Charter.

On Tuesday September 29, 1998, bids were opened on Cosgray Road Park Phase IV (Darree Fields), an
approved CIP at 10:00 a.m.
The publicly announced base bid was estimated at 65,000.00. Three (3) bids were received.

~ 1). The Nadalin Company, Inc. $99,800.00
2). First Choice Construction $49,713.00
3). The Righter Company $59,350.00
This project consists of boardwalk and mulch construction through a wooded area.
Staff is recommending the acceptance First Choice Construction's base bid of $49,713.00.
