AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF A
PORTION OF TULLER RIDGE DRIVE TO DALE DRIVE
IN THE CITY OF DUBLIN, OHIO
WHEREAS, the City requests the street name for a portion of Tuller Ridge Drive
(from Tuller Road south approximately 1,400 feet) be changed to Dale Drive; and
WHEREAS, Engineering and Police have reviewed this request and determined that
such action would be beneficial to the public health, welfare or safety.
NO , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
(j of its elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The name of a portion of Tuller Ridge Drive (from Tuller Road south
approximately 1,400 feet) is hereby changed to Dale Drive.
Section 2 . The City Engineer is hereby directed to have this recorded with
Franklin County and update the street name signs.
Section 3 . This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the
earliest date permitted by law.

Re: Ordinance 92 -14 — An Ordinance to Change the Name of a Portion of Tuller
Ridge Drive to Dale Drive in the City of Dublin, Ohio
Summary
With the roadway improvements progressing in the Bridge Street District, the grid street system is
beginning to take shape. The Dale — Tuller temporary connector is under construction. Once this
construction is complete, vehicular traffic will be able to move north and south between West
Dublin- Granville Road (SR 161) and Tuller Road. The existing roadways in this alignment are Dale
Drive and Tuller Ridge Drive. This poses a challenge for way - finding and emergency services.
Also, this route will be used as a detour during the construction of other public improvements in
the Bridge Street District, which are planned to commence as early as March 2015.
Staff proposes to rename the northern portion of Tuller Ridge Drive from Tuller Road to Dale Drive
(an approximate length of 1,400 feet). Please refer to the attached exhibit which depicts this
portion of roadway. No existing structures or parcels are officially addressed from this portion of
Tuller Ridge Drive.
Eventually, Tuller Ridge Drive is expected to be extended to the west to intersect with realigned
Riverside Drive. The existing east/west portion of Dale Drive is expected to be vacated with the
redevelopment of the Bridge Pointe shopping center. Therefore, after this future extension and
vacation, the roadway names and the grid system will be established in a more typical and
expected manner.
Recommendation
Staff recommends adoption of Ordinance 92 -14 at the second reading /public hearing on
September 22 in order to change the name of a portion of Tuller Ridge Drive to Dale Drive in the
City of Dublin, Ohio.
