AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS
ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31. 1993
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

....... WHEREAS. the Ohio Revised Code requires, when necessary. amendments to
the annual appropriations ordinance be made in order that appropriations are not
over expended; and
WHEREAS. it is necessary to appropriate funds to allow for unanticipated
expenditures; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate additional funds for capital
improvement projects.
NOW THEREF~RE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin. State
of Ohio. of the elected members concurring:

Section 1. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the I
Capital Improvements Tax Fund the amount of $995.000 to account 40-03-14-
2510 for the purpose of acquiring land adjacent to Coffman Park.
Section 2. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Dublin Justice Center Fund the amount of $6,539.37 to account 47-03-14-
2530 for the purpose of paying an insurance claim for damage that occurred
during construction of the facility and close-out of the project.
r- Section 3. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
l, Water Tower Construction Fund the amount of $18.886 to account 44-03-14-

2561 for additional project costs related to the construction of the water tower.
Section 4. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Convention & Visitors Bureau Fund the amount of $29,160.23 for the purpose
of disbursing funds collected and due to the Bureau.
Section 5. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Agency Fund the amount of $670,218.91 for the purpose of disbursing funds
for which we act as a agent.
Section 6. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the
Shawnee Hills Income Tax Fund the amount of $31,669.86 for the purpose of
disbursing funds collected and due to the Village.
Section 7. That this ordinance be. and the same hereby is, declared to be an
emergency measure for the preservation of public peace. health or welfare of
the residents of this City. and therefore this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force immediately upon its passage.

MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT: Amendments To 1993 Appropriations
DATE: December 16, 1993
INITIATED BY: Marsha I. Grigsby, Director of Finance
Ordinance 107-93 is needed to appropriate funds in order that the identified
accounts are not over expended.
Section 1 will allow us to encumber the funds prior to year-end for purchase of
the additional land. Our agreement with the current landowner requires that we
close on the land no later than January 10, 1994.
Section 2 appropriates additional funds received. The amount received for the
insurance claim, $5,921, has been paid to the contractor. Any money
remaining in this fund after all project costs have been finalized will be
transferred to the General Bond Retirement Fund and used to retire debt
obligations related to the Justice Center construction bonds that were issued.
Section 3 appropriates funds for costs related to the construction of the water
,,., tower.
~v Section 4, 5 and 6 appropriate funds to the identified agency funds. For the
funds identified, we collect monies as an agent and then remit those funds to
the appropriate individuals, organizations, governments or other city funds.
