DECLARING AN EMERGENCY I

WHEREAS, after advertising, receiving and opening bids on June 17, 1993, for the I
1992 Street Maintenance Program; and i
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the lowest and best bid for said project I
is from Strawser Paving Comoanv in the amount of $493.369.94 .
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to execute this contract as soon as I
I
I
possible so that construction can take place during favorable weather conditions. I
I
I
I
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of I
I
I
Ohio, L of the elected members concurring: I

Section 1. That the bid from Strawser Paving Comoanv in the amount of
$493.369.94 be, and hereby is, accepted. I
I

II Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a 1
I
i
contract with Strawser Paving Comoanv for completion of said project pursuant I
I
to the bid specifications and documents on file in the office of the City Engineer. I

...... Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an
emergency measure for the preservation of the public peace, health or welfare of
the residents of this City, and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force immediately upon its passage.

SUBJECT: 1993 Street Maintenance Program
DATE: June 17, 1993
Today, June 17, 1993, bids were received and publicly opened and read for the 1993
Street Maintenance Program. Bids were received as shown on the attached bid form.
Also attached is a copy of the bid tabulation for your information. All bids submitted
have been reviewed and it is recommended that we award this contract to the lowest
bidder, Strawser Paving Company of Columbus, Ohio.
Attached is an emergency Ordinance for approval as soon as possible by City Council
prior to the awarding of this contract to Strawser Paving company.
