AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER I
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH MILLER i

CABLE COMPANY, THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER I
,.. ON THE OLD DUBLIN STREET LIGHTING PROJECT !
AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY ,

WHEREAS, previous bids for the old Dublin street Lighting I
project have come in more than ten percent (10%) over the
Engineer'S project cost estimates, and I
\
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this project has not been rebid,
and
WHEREAS, Miller Cable company's bid of $155,280.00 has been
recommended by staff as the lowest and best, and
WHEREAS, council has previously committed to construction of
this project during the 1991 building season and has
determined that completion of the project within that time
I frame is necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the
citizens generally and the residents and businesses of old
Dublin specifically.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the city of
Dublin, state of Ohio, '1 of the elected members
concurring that:
,.... Section 1. The city Manager is hereby authorized to enter
I into a contract with Miller Cable Company for the Old Dublin
'-' street Lighting project at a cost of $155,280.00.
section 2. Funds have been previously appropriated for this
i project in the Hotel Motel Tax Fund, Account #17-02-11-2821.
I section 3. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency
I necessary for the immediate preservation, public health,
,
11 safety and welfare of all of the Dublin citizenry as well as
Ii the residents and businesses located within Old Dublin in that
II this project will greatly enhance and improve the safety and
Ii business environment of Old Dublin.
II Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
II
'i immediately upon passage.
