"'"'" AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 ("MEMBERS") ORDINANCE NO. 35-91 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Section 149.39 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that each Municipal Corporation create a records commission; and, WHEREAS, Dublin City Council passed Ordinance No. 35-91 on the 17th day of June, 1991, and the term of office was not addressed; and, WHEREAS, Section 2. of Ordinance No. 35-91 needs to be amended to reflect such a term; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio .5 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That Section 2. ("Members") of Ordinance No. 35-91 be, and hereby is amended by deleting the existing language and replacing it with the following: r~ That the city records commission be composed of the City ........ Manager or his appointed representative, as chairperson, I the Director of Finance or his representative, the Director of Law or his representative, and a citizen appointed by Council to serve a term of three (3) years. The commission shall appoint a secretary who mayor may not be a member of the commission and who shall serve at the pleasure of the commission. The commission may also employ an archivist to serve under its direction. The commission shall meet at least once every six months, and upon call of the chairperson. Section 2. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an emergency measure for the preservation of the public peace, health, or welfare of the residents of this City, and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. s-cC ~ ,1991. i'&"'" ...... Colwell, Court Administrator/Probation Officer After reviewing the City Charter regarding the lengths of terms for other City Boards & Commissions, it is the recommendation of Staff that the City appoint a citizen for a three (3) year term to the Records Commission.
