AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE RESURFACING OF THE COFFMAN PARK TENNIS AND ~ BASKETBALL COURTS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. ...."". WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the Coffman Park Tennis and Basketball Court Repaving project on August 10, 1994 Council has determined that the bid submi tted by Roese Brothers in the amount of $26,959.00 is the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, this project is part of the Coffman Park Tennis/Basketball Court improvements contained in the 1994 CIP budget. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT OR~INED by the Council of the city of Dublin, state of Ohio, of the elected members concurring: section 1. That the bid submitted by Roese Brothers in the amount of $26,959.00 is hereby accepted. section 2. That the ci ty Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Roese Brothers for completion of the repaving project, pursuant to the bid specifications and documents on file in the office of the Parks Maintenance division. ,.,..... section 3. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, '-- declared to be an emergency measure due to the need to complete the improvements prior to the winter season, and therefore this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. I. P. , were opened Wednesday, August 10, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. The published base bid was estimated at $27,000.00. Three bids were received: 1). Columbus Asphalt Paving $28,350.00 2).
