AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 951.17
AND ENACTING SECTION 951.18
OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN, OHIO

WHEREAS, the council of the city of Dublin, state of Ohio,
...... finds it is necessary to distinguish between moving violations
and parking violations in section 951.17 in order to more
effectively regulate vehicle and traffic violations in park
areas; and
WHEREAS, the council of the city of Dublin, state of Ohio,
further finds that section 951.17 should be amended to
differentiate between vehicle operation violations and parking
violations within park areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained~bY the council of the city of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members
concurring:
section 1. That section 951.17 be amended to read as follows:
(a) No person in a park shall operate any motor
vehicle in or on any portion of a park not
designated as a park drive.
(b) No person in a park shall operate a snow
mobile or an unlicensed motor vehicle of any kind
- except in designated areas.
....d.. (c) No person in a park shall operate a vehicle in
such a manner as to endanger the operator or any
other person or any property.
(d) No person in a park shall drive around, cause
to be mobbed or damage any barricades or barrier so
placed to temporary or permanently close a road to
traffic.
(e) No person in a park shall operate a vehicle in
excess of the posted speed limit.
(f) Vehicles in parks in violation of these rules
and regulations shall be removed or cause to be
removed by officers to a location, in or outside of
a park, where the same may be kept, until the
owners or their authorized representatives obtain
an order from the director or her/his
representatives releasing such vehicles to the
owners thereof, or their authorized
representatives. The city shall not be responsible
for any fee, charge or damage arising from such
impoundment.

(g) No person in a park shall accelerate a motor
..... vehicle causing the rubber tires to mark or deface
park roadway surfaces.
(h) Whoever violates this Section is guilty of a
minor misdemeanor.
section 2. That existing Section 951.17 is hereby repealed.

section 3. That section 951.18 be enacted to read as follows:
.... 951.18 Parking violations on Park property
(a) No person in a park shall park any motor
vehicle in or on any other portion of a park not
designated as a parking area.
(b) No person shall leave a vehicle in a park
during the hours when a park is closed.
(c) Vehicles in parks in violation of these rules
and regulations shall be removed or cause to be
removed by officers to a location, in or outside of
a park, where the same may be kept, until the
owners or their authorized representatives obtain
an order from the director or her/his
representatives releasing such vehicles to the
owners thereof, or their authorized
representatives. The city shall not be responsible
for any fee, charge or damage arising from such
impoundment.
(d) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a
