AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A BID
~~"~ FOR SCHOOL ZONE IMPROVEMENTS FOR
DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL, THOMAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL,
DEER RUN ELEMENTARY/GRIZZELL MIDDLE SCHOOL
WHEREAS, bids have been received for school zone flasher installation for
Dublin High School, Thomas Elementary School, Deer Run Elementary/Grizzell
Middle School; and
WHEREAS. the lowest/best bid is from Greenlight Electric, Inc. in the amount
of $31,517.00;
WHEREAS. installation of school zone flashers is essential for safe movement
of pedestrians in the school areas;
WHEREAS, in the 1994 budget, $50,000 was appropriated in the account of
40-03-14-2550 for this purpose.
NOW THEREFORE& BE IT ORDAINED. by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of $31,517.00 from Greenlight Electric, Inc.
be and hereby is, accepted.

Section 2. That the City Manager and Finance Director, be, and hereby
are, authorized to enter into a contract with said firm for said school zone
improvements.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to
be an emergency measure due to the urgent need for pedestrian safety and to
minimize threat to public health, safety and welfare; and for the further reason
that this project should be initiated as soon as possible, and, therefore, this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
