AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A NEW
POSITION (COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST)
( WITHIN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER
AND AMENDING SECTION 2. A. ("WAGE ,
SALARY STRUCTURE/ ADMINISTRATION") AND
SECTION 12 ( "EXEMPT , NON-EXEMPT JOB
CLASSIFICATIONS") OF ORDINANCE NO. 17-
90 ("COMPENSATION PLAN").
WHEREAS, Council has determined, upon the recommendation of
the City Manager and the Director of Personnel &
Purchasing, that the need exists for a new Communication
Specialist position within the Office of the City Manager;
and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that said position is
necessary to enhance the overall level of efficiency and
effectiveness of the Public Information/Special Events
function;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Dubl~n, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members
concurr1ng:
Section 1. That a new Communication Specialist position
within the Office of the city Manager is hereby authorized.
C Section 2. That Section 2. ( "WAGE & SALARY/ADMINISTRA-
TION"), subsection A, of Ordinance No. 17-90 ("Compensation
Plan" ) is hereby amended to include the following classifi-
cation title and corresponding pay grade under the "Public
Information/Special Events" categorical heading contained
therein:
Communication Specialist 11
Section 3. That Section 12. ("Exempt and Non-Exempt Job
Classifications"), subsection A., of Ordinance No. 17-90
("Compensation Plan" ) is hereby amended to include the
following classification title in the established list of
Exempt job classifications under the "Administrative"
category contained there:
"Communication specialist"
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force at the earliest point permitted by law.
