AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE I
[",. ESTABLISHMENT OF A MERCHANDISING I
. . FUND, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY i

WHEREAS, Section 5705.12, of the Ohio Revised Code, I
grants permission to the taxing authority of a I
subdivision to establish special funds; and, !
WHEREAS, Dublin City Council passed a resolution in i
support of a comprehensive economic development program
on August 17, 1992; and,
WHEREAS, one component of the comprehensive economic
development program is marketing, including
merchandising; and,
WHEREAS, the revenue from the sale of the merchandise
would be deposited in a special fund and used to purchase
merchandise, as the intent of the merchandising campaign
is to be self-supporting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIN~ by the Council of the City
of DUblin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members
concurring that:
[. i Section 1. That there be established a Merchandising
Fund, an Enterprise Fund.
Section 2. That the revenue generated from the sale of
the merchandise be deposi ted wi th the Department of
Finance to the credit of the Merchandising Fund.
section 3. That appropriate expenditures from this fund
would be for costs associated with the merchandising
campaign, including the purchase of merchandise and
related costs.
Section 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an
emergency measure necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and
shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage.
