AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROPOSED OPERATING
BUDGET AND CASH CAPITAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
r- YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31,1993. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS. Dublin City Council adopted Ordinance No. 120-92, an ordinance adopting
the proposed budget for 1993, on December 21, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 120-92 was adopted with the understanding that
amendments were possible as a result of an additional January budget hearing, and
WHEREAS. Dublin City Council has requested that the 1993 Operating Budget be
amended to include the amendments contained in Ordinance 4-93; and
WHEREAS, several issues or concerns had been raised by Council Members which they
were desirous of additional discussion and clarification; and
WHEREAS, those issues or concerns were addressed at the January 11, 1993 budget
hearing.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. That the 1993 Operating Budget be amended to include the amendments
"".... contained in Ordinance 4-93.
'.......... Section 2. That the employee health benefit plan, as recommended by staff. is
approved and used as the basis for the budgeted amount in all Employee Benefit
accounts. Plan modifications as outlined in the staff memorandum dated December
16, 1992 will be implemented effective April 1, 1993.
Section 3. That employee merit pay increases be limited to a maximum of 5.5 percent
for anyone employee. As in the past, pay increases will be based on performance
evaluations.
Section 4. That the Public Information/Special Events Coordinator position be retained.
Section 5. That the position of Communications Intern be retained.
Section 6. That the amount budgeted for account 01-01-10-2815, for an Economic
Development Program, in the Office of the City Manager is for the marketing portion
of the overall economic development strategy that will be established.
Section 7. That the position of Traffic Signal Technician be approved.
Section 8. That the adjustment of $21,000 from the Division of Parks & Recreation
budget to the office of the City Manager budget as proposed in a previous budget
~ hearing, be approved. This will allow for the administration of all special event
activities to be under the direction of the Public I nformati on/S pecial Events
...... Coordinator.

r Section 9. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an
,--. emergency measure for the preservation of public peace, health or welfare of the
residents of this City, and therefore this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
