MEMORANDUM TO: Members of Dublin City Council FROM: Timothy C. Hansley, City Manager I I SUBJECT: Amendments to Annual Appropriations Ordinance DATE: January 12, 1993 INITIATED BY: Marsha I. Grigsby, Director of Finance Ordinance No. 4-93 is needed to incorporate changes requested by Council Members at the budget hearing on January 11, 1993. Section 1 reduces the appropriations in the Division of Building Standards and the Miscellaneous Accounts. The proposed budget included $35,000 on page 32, account 01-03-13-2320, for a mailbox telephone system for scheduling inspections in the Division of Building Standards. This has been eliminated. The needs of the Division will be evaluated as part of the city-wide analysis to be completed in 1993. The proposed budget also included $10,000 on page 44, account 01-01-19-2394 for a consultant to address the right-of-way concerns with Paxton Cable in the southwest quadrant of the City. This has been eliminated. If, during the year it is determined that this service is needed a request for additional appropriations will be presented to Council. J1iIIiIi' Section 2 reduces the appropriations in the Street Maintenance and Repair Fund. The proposed budget included $10,000 on page 51, account 10-06-10-2520, for equipment and office furniture. This request was an allocation. This account is used to purchase minor equipment. If, additional funds are needed during 1993 a request for additional appropriations will be presented to Council. The next Council meeting we plan to have another ordinance amending the annual appropriations ordinance. This ordinance will be to appropriate unencumbered funds in the individual capital improvement funds for projects implemented in or before 1992 (i.e. Muirfield Drive Extension and Tuller Road Improvements).
