WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on June 11, 1996 ........ for the construction of the Coffman Park storage facility, Council has determined that the base bid submitted by Spectrum Builders, Inc. in the amount of $235,949.00 and bid alternate 1 submitted by Spectrum Builders, Inc. in the amount of $6,400.00 are the lowest and best bid for this project. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, . 7 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That the base bid submitted by Spectrum Builders, Inc. in the amount of $235,949.00 and the bid alternate 1 submitted by Spectrum Builders, Inc. in the amount of $6,400.00 for the Coffman Park storage facility are hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Spectrum Builders, Inc. for completion of this project as specified within the bidder's bid proposal and the city's bid documents on file in the Division of Parks Maintenance. SUBJECT: Coffinan Park Storage Facility . ,'it DATE: June 14, 1996 INITIATED BY: Fred Hahn, Parks Administrator On June 11, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. bids were opened for the Coffinan Park Storage Facility, an approved CIP project that consists of providing a storage facility for special event and recreation equipment and supplies. The announced base bid estimate was $230,000.00. Two bids were received. They are: 1. Spectrum Builders, Inc. $235,949.00 2. Hochstetler Buildings, Inc. $284,442.00 The bid process allowed for one alternate to the base bid for additional landscaping. The two bid alternate prices are: 1. Spectrum Builders, Inc. $ 6,400.00 - 2. Hochstetler Buildings, Inc. 21,535.00 .... Spectrum Builders was a sub-contractor on the Dublin Justice Center and their work proved to be most acceptable. Other projects listed on their experience record had the same positive results. The Administration is recommending acceptance of Spectrum Builders, Inc.' s base bid of $235,949.00 and Bid Alternate 1 in the amount of $6,400.00 for a total contract price of $242,349.00. -
