RESTATING, CODIFYING, AND COMPILING CERTAIN EXISTING GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY DEALING WITH SUBJECTS EMBRACED IN THE CODE. ..... WHEREAS, Section 4.13 of the Charter provides that the ordinances of the city of Dublin may be revised, codified, recodified, rearranged or published in book form; and WHEREAS, the municipality has entered into an agreement with American Legal Publishing Corporation for codification of its existing ordinances and resolutions and for other related services. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the city of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring: section 1. The general ordinances and resolutions of the city of Dublin as herein revised, amended, restated, codified, and compiled in book form are adopted as and shall constitute the "Codified Ordinances of the city of Dublin, Ohio." Section 2. This Code as adopted in section 1 shall consist of the following titles, to-wit: __ Title I General provisions Title III Administration Title V Public Works Title VII Traffic Code -- Title IX General Regulations Title XI Business Regulations Title XIII General Offenses Title XV Land Usage Tables of Special Ordinances Parallel References Index Section 3. All prior ordinances pertaining to the subjects treated in this Code shall be deemed repealed from and after the effective date of this Code except as they are included and reordained in whole or in part in this Code; provided such repeal shall not affect any offense committed or penalty incurred or any right established prior to the effective date of said Code, nor shall such repeal affect the provisions of ordinances levying taxes, appropriating money, annexing or detaching territory, establishing franchises or granting special rights to certain persons, authorizing public improvements, authorizing the issuance of bonds or borrowing of money, authorizing the purchase or sale of real or personal property, granting or accepting easements, plat or dedication -- of land to public use, naming or vacating or setting the boundaries of streets, alleys or other public places, nor to any other ordinance of a temporary or special nature or __ pertaining to subjects not contained therein. section 4. This Code shall be deemed published as of the day of its adoption and approval by the city Council, and the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and ordered to file a copy of this Code in the Office of the Clerk of Council. . This Code shall be in full force and effect on the date of passage, and shall be presumptive evidence in all .... courts and places of the ordinance and all provisions, sections, penalties and regulations therein contained and of the date of passage, and that the same is properly signed, attested, recorded and approved and that any public hearings and notices thereof as required by law have been given. section 6. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately as provided under Article IV, section 4.13 of the Dublin Charter. Crandall, Management Assistant / -yrti.C Subject: Ordinance 114-95 - Date: December 7, 1995 In order to be appropriately prepared for the numbering changes contained in the revised City Code, Staifis requesting that the third reading of the attached Ordinance l14 -95 (Amended) be tabled until the first January meeting of Council. As originally written, the ordinance contained an effective date of January 1, 1996. However, in accordance with the City Charter, all codifications are to take effect immediately upon passage and therefore, in order to allow time for the Division of Courts and the Division of Police to prepare for the numbering changes, a tabling of this ordinance is being requested.
