AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 'ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS
ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1996
- AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
....,.LllI WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental
appropriations to be made to an appropriation measure provided sufficient resources
are available, and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has contracted with Barton-Aschman Associates,
Inc. of Ohio to perform Transportation Planning and Traffic Analysis as part of the
comprehensive Community Plan update, and
WHEREAS, the Scope of Services for the Transportation Planning and Traffic
Analysis does not include traffic signal warrant studies for key intersections, and
WHEREAS, the traffic signal warrant studies are needed to systematically and
comprehensively evaluate the City's need for traffic signals and to provide the
information needed to prioritize and program needed traffic signal installations, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annu8l appropriations ordinance to provide
funding to complete traffic signal warrant studies for twelve key intersections.
",.... NOW, THE~ORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
..... Section 1. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the General
Fund the amount of $35,000 to account 01-03-12-2343 to complete traffic signal
warrant studies for twelve key intersections within the City.
Section 2. That this Ordinance be and hereby is declared an emergency measure
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare and to
provide immediate funding to obtain the information necessary to systematically and
comprehensively evaluate the signalization of intersections in the upcoming capital
budgeting process.
