AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPf THE LOWEST/BEST BID
FOR
,....... MUIRFlELD VILLAGE, PHASE 42 - FIRE HYDRANT RELOCATION
......
WHEREAS, after advertising, receiving and opening bids on December 11, 1995, for
the Muirfield Village, Phase 42 - Fire Hydrant Relocation project; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the best and responsive bid for said project is
from The Northwest Conduit Corporation, in the amount of $38,727,00; and
WHEREAS, the Washington Township Fire Department has requested that this
improvement be made in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public,
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1, That the bid from The Northwest Conduit Corporation in the amount of
$38,727.00 be, and hereby is accepted,
IJI'l'!lI'l'J Section 2, That the City Manager and Finance Director be, and hereby are, authorized
and directed to execute a contract with The Northwest Conduit Corporation, for
- completion of said project pursuant to the bid specifications and documents on file in the
office of the Department of Development,

- SUBJECT: Muirfield Village, Phase 42 - Fire Hydrant Relocation
'. DATE: December 14, 1995
On December 11, 1995, bids were received and publicly opened and read for
the Muirfield Village, Phase 42, Fire Hydrant Relocation project. This project
was initiated at the request of the Washington Township Fire Department in
order to enhance the fire service within the area. Bids were received as shown
on the attached bid form. Two (2) bids were submitted and have been
evaluated by the City Engineer and the Director of Law, It is recommended that
we award this contract to The Northwest Conduit Corporation, The bid from
Deere/Short Excavating was removed from consideration due to some
unresolved tax issues and the extremely small difference in bid prices
($437.00).
Attached is an Ordinance for acceptance by City Council prior to the awarding
of this contract to The Northwest Conduit Corporation,
