An Ordinance Authorizing The Purchase Of Three Parcels Of Land Located
West Of Wilcox Road For The Purpose Of Future Roadway Construction
- And Declaring An Emergency (Woerner-Temple Extension)
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin entered into a Tax Increment Financing/Economic
... Development Agreement for the development of a site known as "the Thomas/Kohler
site", which provides for the construction of certain transportation improvements by
the City of Dublin; and .
WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase right-of-way for construction of the
transportation improvements, the extension of Woerner-Temple; and
WHEREAS, due to the alignment of the roadway, the two (2) parcels of land
abutting the right-of-way are left with limited development value; and
WHEREAS, from a cost standpoint and for the preservation of open space, the City
has determined that it is appropriate to purchase the two (2) parcels of land abutting
the right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, these parcels are identified on the attached Exhibit; and
WHEREAS, funds for the purchase of these three (3) parcels of land have been
previously appropriated.
[ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a real estate
purchase agreement and any necessary closing documents related to the acquisition
of the three (3) parcels abutting Wilcox Road for construction of the Woerner-
Temple extension project.
Section 2. That this ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an
emergency measure for the preservation of public health, safety or welfare of this
City and for the further reason that this ordinance is required to be immediately
effective to complete the real estate transactions as agreed to by the City; therefore,
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
