AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1995 FOR
THE PURPOSE OF COMPLYING WITII PROVISIONS INCLUDED
~ IN THE ECONOMIC DEVEWPMENT AGREEMENT WITII DUKE REALTY
LIMITED PARTNERSIDP AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Ordinance 59-95 authorized the City Manager and the Director of Finance,
on behalf of the City, to enter into an economic development agreement with Duke
Realty Limited Partnership; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is necessary and appropriate and in the best
interest of the City to provide certain assistance using non-tax revenues to Duke Realty
Limited Partnership in constructing private improvements consisting of a building or
buildings comprising at least 300,000 square feet and related facilities (Office Space) for
the purpose of creating and preserving jobs and employment opportunities and improving
the economic welfare of the people of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City's General Fund has sufficient non-tax revenues, such as interest
income, fees collected for various licenses and permit, and fines and costs collected by
the Mayor's Court, to provide such assistance; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations to provide funding for
the assistance to Duke Realty Limited Partnership as provided for in the Economic
Development Agreement.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, elected members concurring:

Section 1. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the General
Fund, from non-tax revenues, the amount of $450,000 to account 01-01-19-2822 for the
purpose of providing assistance related to the construction of the Office Space.
Section 2. This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare of this City and for
the further reason that this ordinance is required to be immediately effective in order to
provide for the implementation of economic development incentives for the construction
of the Office Space at the earliest possible time to create jobs and employment
opportunities and improve the economic welfare of the people of the City; wherefore, this
ordinance shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage.
