AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION/INSTALLATION OF THE
SCOTTISH CORNERS BIKE PATH AND BRIDGE STRUCTURE,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids for the
scottish Corners Bike Path project, Council has determined
that the base bid submitted by Buckeye Paving Company in the
amount of $63,576.00 (Sixty Three Thousand Five Hundred
Seventy-Six) is the lowest and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Dublin, state of Ohio, 7 of the elected members
concurring:
section 1. That the bid submitted by Buckeye Paving Company
in the total amount of $63,576 (Sixty Three Thousand Five
Hundred Seventy-Six) for the scottish Corners Bike Path
Project is hereby accepted.
section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Buckeye Paving Company governing
the services as specified within said bidder's bid proposal
and the City's bid documents on file in the Division of
Personnel & Purchasing.
section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is,
declared to be an emergency measure for the preservation of
the public peace, health and safety, and therefore, this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon
its passage.

On June 24, 1993, the bids were opened for the Scottish Corners Bike Path project. The
City of Dublin received a total of9 complete bids (see attached), Buckeye Paving Company was
the lowest and best bidder.
This project is an asphalt bike path (1875 L.F,) and bridge structure, This bike path will
provide an important link between Sells Mill Drive and Dublinshire Drive.
We are requesting that this ordinance be passed as an emergency, so we can ensure the
completion of this project before the asphalt plants are closed for the year.
This project was approved in the 1993 C.I.P. budget.
