This was amended with Ordinance No. 20-73 and 42-74. After that date there is no record of any amendment for the cost increases being passed by Ordinance. I have copies of letters from Perry Township since 1981 indicating cost increases. The history of rates is as follows: 1971 $ 80.00/month 1973 $120.00/month 1974 $400.00/month Unable to lcate data until: 't Increase 198? (referred to $1,166.67/month $14,000.00/year in letter for 1981) 1981 $1,S41.66/month $18,500.00/year 3210 1982 $1,87S.00/month $22,SOO.00/year 2210 1983 $2,083.33/month $2S,000.00/year 11 /0 1984 $2,183.33/month $26,200.00/year 5/0 1985 $2,SOO.00/month $30,000.00/year 15/0 1987 (proposed) $3,166.67/month $38,000.00/year 2710 The records show this is a substantial increase; however, it is still less expensive than what it would cost to provide the service ourselves. The benefits to be derived from providing our own service can be dealt with separately. I believe the Township has provided adequate information to indicate their costs have increased as well, although we may want to address the issue of "purchasing" their equipment. NJP:fmu
