AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT A BID FOR
TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENTS AT FRANTZ ROAD AND
BLAZER PARKWAY AND FRANTZ ROAD
AND METRO PLACE NORTH AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, bids have been received for traffic signals and roadway
improvements to be performed on Frantz Road at Blazer Parkway and
Metro Place North; and
WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid is from Jess Howard Electric Company
in the amount of $103,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid from Jess Howard Electric Company in the amount
of $103,000.00 be, and it hereby is, accepted;
SecGion 2. That the Acting Village Manager and Finance Director be,
and hereby is, authorized to enter into a contract with Jess Howard
Electric Company for the traffic signal and roadway ,improvements;
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared
to be an emergency measure necessary for the public health, safety
and welfare as this project needs to begin as soon as possible, and
therefore this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon its passage.

Bids were opened at Noon on February 20, 1987, for the roadway and
the traffic control improvements for Frantz Road and Blazer Parkway
and Frantz Road and Metro Place North. Four bids were received as
follows:
Jess Howard Electric Company $103,000.00
Don W. Miller, Inc. $104,600.00
L. E. Myers Co. $108,124.24
G. & G. Cement Contractor's $118,294.12
Engineer's Estimate $119,628.80
I have reviewed the contractor's qualifications and recommend award
to low bidder, Jess Howard Electric Company, in the amount of
$103,000.00.
