TO: Councilmembers FROM: Sherman Sheldon - Village Manager RE: 1987 Capital Improvements in Principle DATE: January 28, 1987 One of our tasks at the Staff meeting on Friday, January 23, 1987 was to conduct a review of a list I had previously prepared and to make deletions or additions based on Staff opinions prior to submitting the Ordinance for Council con- sideration. In a complete review of the list for 1986, not all of the improvements were undertaken or completed in fiscal 1986 and therefore, some are back on the list again in 1987 with the hope that we can finally get them accomplished. Although Staff has agreed with the items on the list it does not preclude the possibility that perhaps some inter- section or other type improvement might come up that would be of significant importance in solving a traffic problem and therefore should be given consideration even though it was not on the list originally. It is the desire of Staff that Council adopt this Ordinance and retain the ability to discuss individual items as they are presented for design cost approvals, construction cost approvals, e t c . , etc. Respectfully submitted, ~/U~ ~I/.~ Sherman Sheldon Village Manager SS/pk
