AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT A QUOTE FOR
PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS,
SPECIFICATIONS, BID DOCUMENTS AND
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION (OBSERVATION)
FOR THE REMODELING OF PORTIONS OF THE
DUBLIN MUNICIPAL BUILDING.
WHEREAS, due to the additional personnel being required to service a growing
community, and;
WHEREAS, revisions can be made to the existing Municipal Building to
accommodate the expanding departments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the quotation from Horne, King, Rauh A.I.A., in the amount
of $7,200.00 for preparation of construction drawings, specifications, bid
documents and construction inspection for remodeling of portions of the
Dublin Municipal Building be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the Village Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Horne, King, Rauh A.I.A. for said
services.
Section 3. That there be appropriated from the General Fund, account
AOI-07-7E-2340, $7,200.00 to cover the cost of said services.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.

Re: Department revisions
Dear Mr. Sheldon:
Horne, King, Rauh Inc. is pleased to submit this proposal for com-
pletion of construction drawings for department revisions as de-
scribed by the design drawing submitted to Council on January 5th.
These revisions incorporate the expansion needs that have exceeded
the ten-year projections that were submitted for the initial
Program development.
As we discussed after having met with each department head, each
has reviewed and approved the revisions for their area. Of course,
if there are any further considerations they can be resolved while
we prepare the construction drawings.
The construction cost estimate of $62,800 is for work performed
at prevailing wage rates. There is a contingency which might pro-
vide for the inclusion of room/door signage. We asssumed a worst-
case scenario for the structural considerations in the area of
the stair removal. We will further investigate this area before
proceeding with the drawings and hopefully there will be less struc-
tural work needed. We estimate that construction will take approx-
imately six weeks.
Our current fee status for the design phase 1S $2,167. This service
included meeting with all department heads a minimum of three times
each, meeting with some individual employees, meeting with you,
and the estimating of the approximate construction cost.

Our service and corresponding fee proposal is as follows. These
services can be performed on an hourly-rate basis with the pro-
vision that these fees would represent a not-to-exceed maximum.
Construction drawings: $ 3900
Construction observation: $ 3300
