AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE
LOWEST/BEST BID FOR TWO ( 2 )
POLICE CRUISERS, AJTHORIZING
THE MANAGER AND FINANCE DIRECTOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT: AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to required advertisin8, bids have been
received for the sale to the Village of two ( 2 ) new Police
Cruisers and;
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of Dan Tobin
Chevrolet-Oldsmobile in the amount of $26,604.82 is the
lowest/best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village
of Dublin, State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members con-
curring:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Dan Tobin Chevrolet-Oldsmobile for
the sale to the Village of two ( 2 ) new Police Cruisers in
accordance with the specifications presently on file in the
office of the Manager be, and hereby is, accepted.
SECTION 2. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be,
and they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a
contract with the said Dan Tobin Chevrolet-Oldsmobile for the
purchase of said Cruisers.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is,
declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the pre-
servation of the public peace, health and safety and for the
further reason that these Police Cruisers are py'esently needed
to meet service requirements and, ~herefore this Ordinance
shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.

RE: Cruiser Bids
DATE: May 28, 1986
After the required advertising, bids were opened for two ( 2 )
new Police Cruisers on May 23, 1986 with the following
results:
Bob McDorman Chevrolet 1985 Chev. Impala's $24,437.56
Dan Tobin Chevy-Olds, Inc:-1986 Chev. Caprice's $26,604.82
- Since the specifications were for 1986 Cruisers, in my
opinion, the NcDorman bid does not qualify and, should
therefore be rejected.
As usual with Cruisers that are in stock, the Cruisers from
Dan Tobin have a lot of extra equipment such as Power Locks
and Hindows, automatic overdrive, tilt steering wheel, ete. ,
etc.
In conjunction with the desires and the original request of
the Safety Committee, I would recommend the purchase of the
two ( 2 ) Cruisers from Dan Tobin at a total cost of $26,604.82.
As additional information for Council, the Caprice model is
also a step above the Impala model.
