AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 182 OF
THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF DUBLIN (HOTEL/MOTEL TAX)
WHEREAS, Dublin City Council wishes to further refine and delineate the
purposes for which Hotel/Motel Excise Tax revenues may be used.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. Section 182.02(e) is hereby amended to include the following
new Section:
C. Revenues referred to in Section 182.02(e)(2)(B) shall be
used primarily to promote activities within the City of Dublin I
and shall not be expended for travel and related costs which I
are used to take residents out of the city, unless Council I
determines that there is a case where special circumstances
make it appropriate. An exception to this Section may be I
made if the City of Dublin allocates funds to a Dublin '
"Sister City" organization to be used, among other purposes
for activities in relation to a "Sister City" which has been
officially designated as such by an ordinance or resolution
of this Council.
Section 2. Section 182.02(e) is hereby amended to include the following
new Section:
D. Any community organization or other grantee which receives
any portion of the Seventy-Five Percent (75%) of the
revenues designated pursuant to Section A. herein shall
submit a final account detailing the usage of all such
funds in a form to be acceptable to the Finance Director
within ninety (90) days following the function or event;
or, in the case where no such specific function or event
is contemplated, partial accounts shall be filed on a
quarterly basis until such time as all such revenues
have been utilized and accounted for.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and shall be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.
