WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP TO THE
CITY OF DUBLIN - SOUTH OF
SHIER-RINGS ROAD AND EAST
AND WEST OF WILCOX ROAD
WHEREAS, said annexation has been approved by the Franklin County
Commissioners and Council it is of the opinion that said terrotory
should be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council 9f the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the petition for the annexatipn of 243~ acres (see
attached legal description) to the City of Dublin, Ohio is hereby
accepted.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take ef{ect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.

Dear Mr. Meyer:
Enclosed is a copy of the resolution adopted on May 19, 1987, by the Board
of County Commissioners, setting the time and place of pub lie hearing for
the annexation petition which you, as agent, filed with this office on
May 1, 1987.
Under the provisions of Section 709.03 and 709.031 of the Ohio Revised
Code, you, as agent, are responsible for the following:
(1) Notification of the date of filing of your petition with the Board
of County Commissioners- to be delivered to the Clerk of the
municipality to which annexation is proposed and the clerk of
each township which is included in the annexation. (A map,
description and a copy of the petition should be presented to
each clerk).
(2) Pub lica tion of the substance of the petition once a week for four
consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general! circulation in the
County. (The enclosed resolution will satasfy the statutory
requirements and should be used for the publishe~ notice).
(3) Service upon the municipal and township clerkS of a copy of the
notice within seven (7) days after the Franklin County Commissioners
set the date for the pu b li c hearing on the annexation petition,
is before May 26, 1987.
(4) Preparation of an affidavit stating the name ',of the agent, the
number of owners of real estate at the time! of the filing of
petition and the number of owners signing the petition.
(5) Ensuring that the legislative body of the municipality to which
the annexation is proposed, by ordinance or resolution, adopts
a statement indicating what services, if any, the municipal
corporation will provide to the territory proposed for annexation,
upon annexation.
Proof of compliance with the above is required to be submitted to this
office no later than June 24, 1987.

Washington Township of the filing Of the captioned
petition, and providing said Clerks' with a map,
description and copy of the petition.

TO THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO, AS RE-
QUIRED BY SECTION 709.031 OF THE QHIO
REVISED CODE
WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of 243! acres from Washington Town-
ship was duly filed by Robert A. Meyer, Jr., thd Agent for the petitioners
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing will be required before the Franklin County
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that, prior to
said hearing, the Municipal Authority shall adopt a statement indicating
what services, if any, the Municipal Corporation will provide to the
territory proposed for annexation:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council olf the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members~oncurring:
SECTION 1. That the Village of Dublin will provide the following municipa

services for the 243- acres in Washington Town$hip-Franklin County upon
the annexation of said area to the Village of Dublin, Ohio:
I POLICE. The Village provides Police service on a full twenty-four hour
basis and communications are contracted from Perry Township. The Vi 11age
also has mutual aid agreements with other municipalities.
I FIRE. Fire protection is currently provided by well-staffed departments
I in Washington and Perry Townships in Franklin County and Concord Township
I in Delaware County. They too have mutual aid agreements with other
municipalities.
SANITATION. Residential refuse collection services are contracted by the
Village and would be available.
STREET MAINTENANCE. The Village has a Street Maintenance Department which
provides excellent service in the area of street and road maintenance.
SECTION 2. The Village has SEWER and WATER service area contracts with th
City of Columbus and the subject property is within said service areas,
and conditioned on the ability of the City of Columbus to provide WATER,
I and to provide sufficient SEWERAGE disposal capacity, the Village wi 11
have the ability to service the area.

WHEREAS, find that said petition contains all of the matters required
by law; that the territory sought to be annexed is adjacent and contiguous
to the said Village of Dublin, Ohio; that the petition contains a full
'and complete description of said territory is accurate; that the petition
for said territory is signed by a majority of the owners of real estate
within the territory sought to be annexed; that the required legal notice
has been published; that the territory sought to be annexed is not
unreasonably large; and that the general good of the territory sought to
be annexed wi 11 be served if this annexation is granted, all in accordance
with the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code 709.033; therefore; upon the
motion of Commissioner Tracy , seconded by Commissioner Foulk ;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY,
OHIO:

That the prayer of said amended petition be granted and
the territory described in said petition shaH be annexed
to the Village of Dub lin, Ohio, in accordance with the law; that
the orders and proceedings of this board relati~g to said petition
and map attached thereto, and all papers on' file relating to
said matter be deposited at once with the Clerk of Dublin,
Ohio.
