AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 150.03
OF THE DUBLIN CODIFIED ORDINANCES
REGARDING MEMBERSHIP ON THE TREE
AND LANDSCAPE ADVISORY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Dublin Tree and Lanadscape Advisory Commission has become
established as an active, valuable citizen's commission fostering the
appreciation and correct use of landscape plants; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to assure a continuous membership body to
accomplish the purposes of the Commission; and
WHEREAS, the original ordinance creating the Commission inadvertently
terminates all membership positions simultaneously; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to add a fifth citizen as a voting member
and to add a non-voting member representing the City of Dublin Planning
and Zoning Department to assist in the mission of the Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That Section 150.03 of the Dublin Codified Ordinances shall be
amended to read:
The Commission shall consist of one representative of the
Parks and Recreation Department, one representative of the
Planning and Zoning Department, and five citizen members to
be appointed by the Council by a motion or motions adopted
by a majority vote of its members. Citizen members of the
Commission shall receive no compensation and serve over-
lapping three year terms of office, provided the first
citizen members shall be appointed for the following
terms: one for one year, two for two years, and two for
three years.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from the
earliest period allowed by law.
