AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST
AND BEST BID FOR SALT FOR SNOW
REMOVAL FOR THE WINTER OF 1989-
1990 ~ AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS~ after required advertising, bids have been received for salt
for snow and ice removal for the Winter of 1989-1990; and
WHEREAS~ Council has determined that the bid of Domtar Industries in
the amount of $31.94/ton with piler delivery is the lowest and best bid
NOW, THEREFORE~ B~ IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of Domtar Industries for the sale of salt to
the City of Dublin for snow and ice removal for the Winter of 1989-1990
in accordance with specifications presently on file in the Division
of Maintenance be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager and Finance Director be, and hereby
are, authorized and directed to execute a contract with the said Domtar
Industries for the purchase of said salt.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to
be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force immediately upon its passage.
