AN ORDINANCE TO APPOINT MEMBERS
TO THE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
APPEALS BOARD OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, Section R-I07 of the "CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code"
states that "all persons shall have the right to appeal the building
official's decision through a body appointed by the appropriate authority
of the jurisdiction and qualified by experience and training to pass upon
matters pertaining to building construction"; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to form a Building Construction Appeals Board
for the Dublin Building Department to hear all appeals not related to the
"Ohio Basic Building Code" (OBBC), namely one, two, and three family resi-
dential dwellings within the City limits of Dublin. Said Board will also
have jurisdiction over licensing procedures in situations where a deter-
mination is required in issuing, detailing or revoking a license.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 144-87 passed by the Dublin City Council on
December 21, 1987, a building Construction Appeals Board was established
for the Dublin Building Department.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Dublin City Council has appointed the following persons
to serve on the Building Construction Appeals Board of the City of Dublin:
Mrs. Patt Crewe
Mr. Mark R. Hurray
Mr. Ronald W. Lane
Mr. Grier D. Schaffer
Mr. Peter Welin
Section 2. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure
necessary for the public peace, health and safety, and for further reason
that there are cases needing to be heard by said Board, and therefore,
this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage.
