Form No. 30043 . 72-89 Passed mw_J9_ u_u Ordmance NO._m__mmn AN ORDINANCE TO TEMPORARILY REDUCE THE SPEED LIMIT ON A SECTION OF U.S. ROUTE 33 BETWEEN FRANTZ ROAD AND 1500 FEET WEST OF THE 1-270 INTERCHANGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Ohio Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for the repair of the bridge on U.S. Route 33 over 1-270 to Maiden & Jenkins, Inc. ; said work to begin on the repair of the bridge deck on Monday, July 31, 1989. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That because of the repair work as described above, it has been requested that the speed limit be temporarily reduced to 35 MPH on that section of U.S. Route 33 between Frantz Road and 1500 feet west of the 1-270 interchange during the time of said repair work. Section 2. That the purpose of the speed reduction is to promote a safe and efficient traffic flow during the estimated two month construction period. Section 3. That the speed limit in the above described area will return to normal when the construction is completed. Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, and for further reason that this repair work is to begin on this date, allowing said speed limit to be in effect on Tuesday, August 1, 1989, and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect immediately after passage and approval by the Mayor.
