AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE BID
FOR A 1988 DUMP TRUCK, AUTHORIZING
THE VILLAGE MANAGER AND FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Dublin adopted Ordinance No.
15-87 on March 2, 1987, authorizing the purchase of a large dump
tuck; and
WHEREAS~ pursuant to required advertising, bids have been received for
the sale to the Village of Dublin a 1988 Dump Truck; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the lowest and best bid is from
Bob McDorman Chevrolet, Inc. , in the amount of
$37,639.00 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of $37,639.00 from Bob
McDorman Chevrolet Inc. be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the Village Manager and Finan~e Director be, and hereby
are, authorized to enter into a contract with said company for the
purchase of a 1988 Dump Truck.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to
be an emergency measure necessary for the public health, safety, and
welfare and for the further reason that this project should be
initiated as soon as possible and therefore this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.

SUBJECT: Acceptance of Bid on Dump Truck

I have reviewed all bids received and am hereby recommending we
accept the Bob McDorman bid of $37,639.00 for a truck body supplied
by Buckeye Truck Equipment. This was the lowest bid received
and meets the specifications set forth.
