AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE
VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FRANKLIN
COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDER TO PROVIDE
DEFENDER SERVICES IN THE DUBLIN
MAYOR'S COURT, THE FRANKLIN
COUNTY MUNICIPAL COURT, AND THE
FRANKLIN COUNTY COURT OF APPEALS
WHEREAS, the Village of Dublin desires to have the services of the
Franklin County Public Defender available to represent defendants
in the Dublin Mayor's Court, Franklin County Municipal Court and
Franklin County Court of Appeals; and,
WHEREAS, the Franklin Public Defender Commission has met an approved
a fee of $50.00 per case for such representation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into an agreement with the Franklin County Public Defender to provide
the services of its staff in representing Defendants in cases
. originating in the Dublin Mayor's Court and any subsequent appeals to
the Franklin County Municipal Court and/or Franklin County Court of
Appeals.
Section 2. Franklin County Public Defender Commission shall provide
defender services in such cases at a flat rate of $50.00 per case.
Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health
and safety and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force immediately upon its passage.
