AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A DRUG ENFORCE-
MENT FUND FOR USE BY THE DUBLIN
POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Dublin Police Department has determined that a Drug Enforce-
ment Fund would help their undercover activities in the area of drug
trafficking; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate funds for this specific purpose
in order that they may be made available, when necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That there be established an account G05-01-1A-2300 in the
Trust and Agency Fund not to exceed $25,000.00 which will operate as a
revolving fund for the purpose of Drug Enforcement Activities.
Section 2. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in
the General Fund to account A01-07-7T-271H for transfer to the Trust and
Agency Fund the sum of $25,000.00.
Section 3. That the Chief of Police or his designee ~ill seek approval
from the City Manager and Finance Director for said Drug Enforcement
Activity, whereby the Finance Director will procure tne cash necessary.
The Chief or his designee will sign for the cash when received and said
receipt will be released when the cash is returned to the Finance Depart-
ment. The accounting of funds will be rendered not lESS than quarterly.
Section 4. That this Ordinance be, and hereby is, declared to be an
emergency measure necessary for the preservation of tre public peace,
health and safety and therefore shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.
