ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY
"" MANAGER TO CONTRACT WITH THE
BUREAU OF WORKER'S COMPENSATION
".. UNDER AGREEMENT u-69
WHEREAS, the courts have ruled that community service workers, while
performing services for the City of Dublin, are entitled to Worker's
Compensation benefits; and
WHEREAS, claims made by these individuals would be charged as any other
injured employees; and
WHEREAS, separate coverage for these individuals can be obtained from
the Bureau of Worker's Compensation so as to not havE~ any bearing on
the City's merit rated experience; so
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter i.nto contract with
the Industrial Commission of Ohio, the Bureau of Worker's Compensation,
for the provision of Worker's Compensation coverage for community
service workers under agreement U-69.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.
