ORDINANCE AULTHORIZING THE CITY
J(f' MANAGER TO CONTRACT WITH THE
BUREAU OF WORKER'S COMPENSATION
UNDER AGREEMENT U-133
WHEREAS, the courts have ruled that Auxiliary Police Officers, while
performing services for the City of Dublin, are entitled to Worker's
Compensation benefits; and
WHEREAS, claims made by these individuals would be charged as any other
injured employees; and
WHEREAS, separate coverage for these individuals can be obtained from
the Bureau of Worker's Compensation so as to not have any bearing
on the City's merit rated experience; so
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, Stat
of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract with
the Industrial Commission of Ohio, the Bureau of Worker's Compensation,
for the provision of Worker's Compensation coverage for Anxiliary Police
Officers under agreement U-133.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.
