AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DUBLIN
BOARD OF EDUCATION TO ACCEPT
ALTERNATE (G-6) OF THE
EARLINGTON SCHOOL PROPOSAL
FOR GRADING OF THE PARK-
LAND PORTION OF THE EARL ING-
TON SCHOOL/PARK SITE AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Village of Dublin has previously contracted with the Georg
Group to prepare design specifications for grading and drainage of. the
Earlington Park Site; and
WHEREAS, grading the parkland portion has been included as alternate
(G-6) of the bid specifications to construct a school at the Earlington
school/park site in order to have proper drainage of the entire site;
and
WHEREAS, a bid has been received by the Board of Education from McClellan
Construction in the amount of $83,000.00 for said grading.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be, and hereby
are, authorized to enter into an agreement with the Dublin Board of
Education to pay for the parkland portion of grading as designated in
Alternate "G-6" ,
Section 2. That the quotation from McClellan Construction in the amount
of $83,000.00 be and hereby is accepted.
Section 3. That the expenditure is authorized from the appropriation for
Park Capital Improvements in account A01-03-3B-2510.
Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the public in
order to continue the daily operation of municipal departments
and therefore shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage.
