AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING
CERTIFICATION FROM THE
OHIO BOARD OF BUILDING
STANDARDS TO ACCEPT AND
APPROVE PLANS AND EXERCISE
ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY FOR
ADDITIONAL USE GROUPS
-
WHEREAS, plans within the Assembly (A), Institutional (1) , and
Educational (E) Use Groups currently need to be submitted to the
State of Ohio for plan review; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Dublin is currently contracting with Faber-
Irelan for Commercial Plan Review Services, which can be extended
to include A, I and E Use Groups; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the public would be more
efficiently served by having all plans reviewed by one authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dub lin, State of Ohio 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to submit
an application to the Ohio Board of Building Standards to request
certification to accept, approve and exercise enforcement authority
for plans in the Assembly (A), Institutional (1) and Educational (E)
Use Groups.
Section 2. That the Village Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to
amend the agreement with Faber-Irelan to include said use groups
upon receiving said certification from the Board of Building Standards.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.
