AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR TWO NEW 1991 SINGLE AXLE I
DUMP TRUCKS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT GOVERN-
ING THE PROCUREMENT OF SAID EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS~ after advertising and receiving bids for two new Single Axle Dump
Trucks; and,
WHEREAS ~ Council has determined that the lowest and best bid for said
equipment is from Bob McDorman Chevrolet in the amount of $83,196.00;
NOW~ THERE~~ BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, ____ of the elected members concurring:
Section l. That the bid from Bob McDorman Chevrolet, in the amount of
$83,l96.00 for two new 1991 Single Axle Dump Trucks be, and hereby is,
accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to execute
a contract with Bob McDorman Chevrolet for the procurement of said
equipment as specified within said bidder's bid proposal on file in the
Division of Personnel & Purchasing.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on the
earliest date permitted by law.

SUBJECT: Single Axle Dump Truck Bids

After advertising and receiving bids for two new single axle dump
trucks, said bids were opened at lO:OO A.M. on Tuesday, April 24,
1990. Attached for your consideration please find the bid tabulation
and Ordinance No. 46-90 accepting the lowest & best.
As reflected in the attached bid tabulation, the City received bids
from the following vendors:
* Bob McDorman Chevrolet
* Byers White GMC Truck Center
* Center City International
* Graham Ford, Inc.
Earlier this year, Council authorized the expenditure of $lOO,OOO for
the purchase of these vehicles in the 1990 Budget. These two new
vehicles will replace two 1978 vehicles in the existing fleeting which
are presently utilized for snow removal operations. It is the objec-
tive of the Division of Maintenance to utilize the two 1978 vehicles
in other capacities where reliability and dependability are not
critical concerns.
After analyzing & evaluating the bids from the aforementioned vendors
relative to the bid specifications, it is Staff's judgement that the
bid submitted by Bob McDorman Chevrolet, in the amount of $83,l96.00,
for two 1991 Chevrolet CC7H042 vehicles with Peabody Galion 402-U dump
bodies is the lowest & best bid. Therefore, Staff recommends that
said bid be accepted.
