Ordinance No. 14-88 authorizes a change in status from part-time permanent to full-time permanent for this position. With the present and expected future work load within the Division of Police, it has been identified that an additional full-time clerical position is needed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness in the Division's clerical support function. It is anticipated that this position will perform a variety of general fi ling, typing, and miscellaneous clerical tasks. In addition, this position wi 11 perform a significant amount of typing relative to the accreditation process and will be critical to the efforts to organize and maintain the Division's record keeping system for 1988. With the immediate need for assistance in the aforementioned areas, I would recommend that Ordinance No. 14-88 be adopted as emergency legislation. DLH:fmu
