AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION
181.05(a) OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
DUBLIN, OHIO - RETURN AND
PAYMENT OF CITY INCOME TAX
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has recommended, with the concurrence
of Dublin City Council that the City of Dublin require total registra-
tion of all residents within the City, and a City-wide filing of City
Income Tax returns by all residents; and
WHEREAS, said requirements will become effective with the 1988 calendar
year for returns due between January 1 and April 15, 1989 and there-
after.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. That Section 181.05(a) of the Dublin Codified Ordinances,
"Return and Payment of Tax" be amended to add:
"Each person residing in the City of Dublin, eighteen
years of age or older, shall be required to file a City
Income Tax Return, on or before April 15th of each year
with the Finance Director or his delegate. When the
return is made for a fiscal year or other period different
from the calendar year, the return shall be made on or
before the fifteenth day of the fourth month after the
.. close of that fiscal year or other period. However, if
a taxpayer's entire income is exempt from taxation of
the City, the taxpayer need not file a return."
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law.
