AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE
LOWEST/BEST BID FOR SNOW
AND ICE REMOVAL FOR THE
WINTER OF 1987-1988, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after required advertising bids have been received for salt
for snow and ice removal for the Winter of 1987-1988; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of Domtar Industries
Incorporated in the amount of $26.12/ton per ton
is the lowest/best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of Domtar Industries, Inc.
for the sale to the City of salt for snow and ice removal for the Winter
of 19877-1988 in accordance with specifications presently on file in
the office of the Manager be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager and Finance Director be, and they
hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract with the
said Domtar Industries, Inc. for the purchase
of said salt.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to
be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force immediately upon its passage.
