AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT A QUOTATION FROM AN ENGINEERING
FIRM TO MAKE A STUDY OF CURRENT SEWAGE FLOWS IN THE
DUBLIN MAIN SEWAGE PUMP STATION, DETERMINE METHODS
TO MEASURE FUTURE FLOWS AND CALCULATE AN ESTIMATE
AS TO WHEN MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF SAID STATION MAY BE
REACHED: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, because of the questionable status of the construction of the
Upper Scioto West Branch Sewer and;
WHEREAS, Council must have a reasonable estimate as to when this Main
Sewage Pump Station may reach maximum capacity and;
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the quotation of F. Browne Assoc.Ltd.
is the lowest/best quotation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the quotation of Floyd Browne Associates Ltd.
in the amount of $ 9,300.00 for said Sewage Study be, and hereby
is, accepted.
SECTION 2. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be, and the;
hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract with Floy
Browne Associates, Ltd. for said Study.
SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated from the Sewer Fund, to the ac-
count of E02-05-5C-2350, the sum of $ 9,300.00 to meet the
obligation of this contract.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be
an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, health and safety and
for the further reason that this information is presently needed and there-
fore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage.

RE: Quotations on Sewer and Water Studies
DATE: September 25, 1986
Quotations were received on Friday September 19, 1986 relative
to the Low Pressure Water Condition and Capacities in the Main
Sewage Pump Station:

Although it is my general practice to recommend the low
quotation for these type projects, I have two (2) concerns
relative to the Burgess and Niple Ltd. , quote on the Sewer
Study: "A" - I question whether the quotation is adequate to
cover the services required for said Study and, "B" - they
supplied no Estimated completion date for either project in
their September 1 7 , 1986 submittal.
Therefore based on the remaining quotations for the Sewer
Study, I would recommend that Council accept the quote of
Floyd Browne Associates Ltd., to perform the Sewer Study at a
cost of $9,300.00. They have estimated the completion date as
November 5, 1986, but based on their attached schedule,
December lst might be more realistic.
Further, I would recommend that Council accept the quote of F.
Dan Boothe, P.E. Inc., to perform the Water Study at a cost of
$7,400.00. This firm has estimated that a complete report
will be submitted no later than three (3) months after
authorization to proceed and a Preliminary Atlas Plan will be
submitted no later than six (6 ) weeks after authorization to
proceed.
I have attached pertinent sheets from each quotation should
you desire to review same prior to the October 6th Council
meeting and, have provided the Village Engineer with copies of
the quotations in case you have technical questions regarding
same.
