AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL
ELECTRICAL CODE AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, 5 of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. 1984 Edition National Electrical Code Adopted.
There is hereby adopted for the purpose of the practical safeguarding
of persons, buildings and dwellings and their contents from hazards
arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio,
signaling and for other purposes, that certain code known as the
National Electrical Code, being particularly the 1984 edition thereof,
recommended by the National Fire Association, except for such portions
as are herein modified, amended or deleted.
Section 2. Amendments, Deletions, Additions.
The National Electrical Code, 1984 Edition, is hereby amended to permit
rlotl-metallic cable (type n/m), as a wiring method and such use is restricted
to one, two and three family dwelling structures.
Section 3. File and Distribution Copies.
A complete copy of the National Electrical Code, as adopted herein, is
on file with the Village Engineer.
Section 4. Conflict of Laws.
In the event of any conflict between the requirements of the National
Electrical Code and those of any other codes adopted by the municipality,
or any municipal ordinance, that requirement which establishes the
higher or stricter standard shall prevail.
Section 5. This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessa y
for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare
and shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
