AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE LOCATION
AND AMOUNT OF CASH ON HAND, AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 39-85 established cash funds for various
departments; and,
WHEREAS, all financial transactions are now under the supervision of
the Finance Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Court, Income Tax Division, and Finance Department
require cash on hand to conduct business;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That cash boxes to make change will be maintained in the
Finance Department for the purpose indicated:
Mayor's Court Transactions $75.00
Income Tax Collections $75.00"
Program, Permit and Other
Miscellaneous Fees $75.00
Section 2. That the Department Supervisor or his/her designee will be
responsible for maintaining these cash funds and depositing daily
receipts, as provided by State law; and,
Section 3. That the above funds are to be used to make change only and
not for payment of petty cash items; and,
Section 4. That there be established a petty cash fund in the amount of
$75.00 to be maintained in the Finance Department for the purpose of
reimbursing employees for out-of-pocket expenses under $20.00; per
Administrative Order,
Section 5. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency,
in order to preserve the public peace, health, and safety and, there-
fore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon its passage.
